Golspie

Golspie is a coastal village in the Scottish Highlands county of Sutherland, situated in the scenic Moray Firth overlooked by the mountain of Ben Bhraggie. It is a popular holiday destination for its award-winning beaches, which provide safe and sheltered sea bathing, although a public swimming pool is provided in the village centre for those disappointing days in the British Summertime. The scenery in this area is breathtaking, and numerous walks are mapped out by which the many visitors can enjoy the gorges and waterfalls, fossil hunts, bird watching and nature trails. Sea angling and watersports are also very popular pastimes in the town, although mountain biking and go-karting facilities are also provided for the more energetic.

The town offers a good choice of quality holiday accommodation, excellent shopping prospects, numerous pubs and restaurants, and a friendly year-round welcome. Attractions in the area include Dunrobin Castle, Laidhay Croft Museum, Hugh Miller Museum and Birthplace Cottage, Brodie Castle, and the Falconer Museum.
