Gargrave

Gargrave is a small but very pretty village in the Craven district of the North Yorkshire Dales, in England. The village neighbours the popular holiday town of Skipton, close to the River Aire, and is a popular visiting point for walkers and cyclists seeking refreshment in the traditional local pub, owing to the Pennine Way National Trail, which passes through the village, as does the Leeds and Liverpool Canal.

Attractions in the area include: the historic Hebden Bridge; the ruins of the Augustinian Bolton Priory of the Bolton Abbey Estate in Wharfedale; the geographically significant features of Malham, including the Gordale Scar and Malham Cove; Kilnsey Crag, which is a popular rock-climbing challenge; the Three Peaks of the Yorkshire Dales; and the Ribblehead Viaduct.
