Fort Augustus

Fort Augustus is a picturesque village settlement in the Scottish Highlands, situated at the south-western end of Loch Ness. It has a small population and caters very for the tourist industry as a main source of income, and so offers good amenities and a plentiful choice of holiday accommodation to suit various needs and requirements. The Caledonian Canal from Fort William to Inverness passes through Fort Augustus and is a very popular attractions flowing in a dramatic series of locks that cascade down to Loch Ness.

Other popular attractions in the area include the Caledonian Canal Visitor Centre, West Affric, and Urquhart Castle.
