Flint

The town of Flint is in Flintshire, North Wales, is situated on the estuary of the River Dee, which flows from the Pennines of the Yorkshire Dales National Park. This is an ancient and well-established community that was once the county town of the historic Welsh county of Flintshire and is now is the third largest town in the county. It is situated just across the River Dee from the Wirral, with views to the Halkyn Mountain.

Flint Castle was founded in 1277 by Edward I and was used by Shakespeare as the setting for Act III, Scene III in his play "Richard II", portions of which remain as a popular local tourist draw.

Flintshire offers a variety of cultural attractions and leisure activities, as well as a wealth of sites of historical importance. This is a very popular destination for outdoor pursuits, with countless walks and mountaineering challenges, numerous fisheries, and a network of cycle trails.
