Ferrers

Woodham Ferrers is a small picture-postcard village neighbouring Chelmsford, and Bicknacre in the south of the English county of Essex, near to the east coast. It began as a hermitage in the reign of Henry II and later became a priory 1175 and features a residential building that was once owned by the Bishop of York. Ferrers boasts excellent transport links and a good choice of holiday accommodation, including several caravan parks, hotels, and guest houses, along with good local shopping prospects and a varied selection of pubs and restaurants. Popular attractions in Essex include Colchester Castle, Colchester Zoo, Waltham Abbey, Mangapps Railway Museum, Epping Forest, and Hedingham Castle, to name only a handful, along with all the sites and attractions of London, which is just a stone's throw away.
