Esher

Esher is a small town located in Elmbridge, Surrey. Esher dates back to the 11th century and appears in the Domesday Book of 1086. George Harrison of the Beatles had a house in Esher during the 1960s, which included a recording studio that the other members of the band would use.  Maurice Gibb of the Bee-Gees also owned a house in Esther up until his death in 2004.

The most notable landmark in Esther is its St Georges Church, which is a rare Tudor build. The church was designed by John Vanbrugh and is an exquisite piece of Tudor architecture. Queen Victoria, Princess Charlotte and Prince Leopold were said to have worshipped at this church. Due to its age and condition, the church is not currently open for worship and is cared for by the Churches Conservation Trust.
