Egham

Egham is a small town located in Runnymede, Surrey and is within the London commuter belt. The town has a very popular large shopping centre which is enclosed in a fully pedestrian area.

Egham dates to around 666AD and appears in the Domesday book, so is not short of history. The Magna Carta was sealed in close by Runnymede in 1215.

The most notable attraction close to Egham is the immensely popular Thorpe Park, which has thousands of visitors per year and is a major tourist attraction for the area. Thorpe Park is situated just 2 miles outside of Egham, making it not only a historical destination to visit, but also a practical one for all the family.
