Eastriggs is a village in the south of the council area of Dumfries and Galloway, in southern Scotland, near to the English Border. This is a small and traditional settlements, with a good range of small shops, a restaurant, a post office, a traditional public house, and a church. It neighbours the towns of Annan, Dornock, Gretna, close to the English Solway Firth Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
The village was created as a township for the production of munitions during World War I, which included factories throughout the area from Gretna to Eastriggs, which required a large immigrant workforce. The remaining village is now a popular tourist destination due to its fantastic location.
