East Kilbride

East Kilbride is a large suburban town within the Greater Glasgow conurbation in South Lanarkshire, which is in the West Central Lowlands of Scotland. It occupies an attractive location on high ground by the Cathkin Braes.

The area is a popular place for walking and cycling, and is positioned on National Cycling Route 756, which connects East Kilbride and Rutherglen with the Glasgow City Boundary.

It is best known for the Hunter House Museum, which contains exhibits illustrating the lives and works of the medical pioneers, brothers William and John Hunter, who were born in the town, and were key figures in the development of modern medicine
