East Calder is a small town near the River Almond, in the Scottish council area of West Lothian. It closely neighbours Mid Calder, along with Wilkieston.
This is a traditional destination, offering a peaceful retreat in old-fashioned Scotland, with the comfort and amenities that make for an enjoyable stay, with a series of shops, two pubs, a cafe, a selection of take-away restaurants, a doctors surgery, chemist, and a sports and fitness centre. It's most notable landmark is the 16th century ruin of St Cuthbert's Parish Church.
