St. John's Town of Dalry is an attractive and more remote village in the southern Scotland council area of Dumfries and Galloway. It is located in the magnificent valley of the Water of Ken, where Loch Ken is situated, within the Galloway Forest Park, while the historic Scottish town of Castle Douglas is approximately 16 miles away.
The village is known for its stunning views and for its cheerful and welcoming community. The village is a popular tourist spot, and so offers a good choice of holiday accommodation; while its facilities include a range of local shops and several reputable pub-restaurants that are popular with both locals and visitors alike, particularly after a good walk through the Southern Upland Way and the nearby Galloway Hills.
