Culgaith

The village of Culgaith is in the picturesque county of Cumbria and the Eden district, named after the River Eden that runs to the west. This attractive, rural location on the Cumbrian East Fellside and within the North Pennine Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty attracts visitors with an interest in outdoor activities and stunning scenery.  Visitors can enjoy golf, shooting, cycling, mountain walking, climbing, abseiling, quad biking, archery and riding that are all well provided for in the area.

Culgaith is a tranquil village with a pretty green and although amenities here are few, nearby larger towns and villages have ample amenities, shops, pubs, restaurants and attractions for those looking for more activities. From its perfect location here in the Eden Valley between the Lake District and the Northern Pennines, it is not far to the more developed ancient market towns of Appleby and Penrith. Just nearby too is the National Trust’s Acorn Bank, with its walled garden, restored mill and lovely riverside walk.
