Crowborough

Crowborough is a town set at a high elevation of 794 feet above sea-level in the county of East Sussex; in the late 19^th century it was promoted as a health resort due to its high elevation, rolling hills and surrounding forest. It can be seen from many miles around and benefits from its location in the picturesque High Weald “Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty”, a short distance from the Ashdown Forest.

Aside from the delights of the countryside, the town of Crowborough offers pretty outdoor spaces, friendly pubs and plenty for the visitor to see and do. Throughout the year, there are events held here that draw large numbers of visitors, including; a summer fair in July, a Farmer’s Market on the fourth Saturday of every month and probably most importantly of all, a large firework display in November. Guy Fawkes Night on the 5^th of November draws thousands to the Goldsmiths Recreation Ground to witness this spectacular town council event.
