Crosthwaite

This parish is a large civil parish within the Lake District National Park, spanning from Helvellyn and Great Dodd, in the east to Great Gavel, Grasmoor, Grisedale-Pikes in the west, with the Skiddaw and Saddleback at its northern boundary. It includes the five townships, of Above-Derwent; Borrowdale; Keswick; St. John's Castlerigg and Wythburn; and Underskiddaw, as well as the lakes of Derwent-water, Thirlmere, and Bassenthwaite lakes. Lodore Cascade can be found by the Derwentwater lake, four miles south of Keswick, along with the remains of a Druids' Temple, to the north of the town. 

The area includes several popular walks including Clougha Pike from Abbeystead, and a fantastic choice of holiday accommodation, attractions and places to find refreshment.
