Crossmichael

Crossmichael is a small and picturesque village on the eastern shore of Loch Ken, in the southern Scotland council area of Dumfries and Galloway. This is a slightly more remote and untamed part of the county, though close to the historic town of Castle Douglas, and to dramatic beauty spots such the Galloway Forest Park, and the Solway Firth.

The village is known for its stunning views and for its cheerful and welcoming community. The village is a popular tourist spot, and so offers a good choice of holiday accommodation; while its facilities include a range of local shops and several reputable pub-restaurants that are popular with both locals and visitors alike, particularly after a good walk among the attractions and beauty spots of this fantastic destination.
