Crosby

Crosby is a coastal town in the English county of Merseyside, to the north to the city of Liverpool. It is notable for the beautiful Crosby Beach, which offers vast expanses of golden sand, enhanced by the attractive fishing village scenery that demonstrates the Viking heritage from which the town developed. The beach is famous for its eery statues of nude standing sandmen looking out towards the Irish Sea. The popular exhibit is named Another Place, and was designed by the sculptor Antony Gormley. This is a generally very affluent part of the county, and is home to various rich and famous notables of the North.

Attractions in the area include the Awesome Walls Climbing Centre Liverpool, Aintree Racecourse, the World Museum, the International Slavery Museum, and Knowsley Safari Park, to name only a handful.
