Crianlarich

Crianlarich is a village in Scottish council area of Stirling, six miles to the north-east of Loch Lomond, which is famous for its wild salmon. The village is served by Crianlarich railway station and is promoted as "the gateway to the Highlands". It lies in a scenic location in the glen of Strath Fillan, which is at the north-western end of the Trossachs, woodland glens, and overlooked by several Munro peaks, including Ben More, Stob Binnein and Cruach Ardrain, which makes Crianlarich a very popular location for hillwalkers, and for walkers in general, as the village is also situated halfway along the West Highland Way long distance footpath.
