Clifton

Clifton is a large suburb and former neighbouring settlement of Bristol, in the rolling South West of England. Notable landmarks of the area include the Clifton Suspension Bridge, Clifton Cathedral, the Neo Gothic Wills Memorial Building, and Bristol Zoo. The suburb is characterised be a predominance of Georgian architecture. This is a one of the oldest parts of the port of Bristol, with much of its grandeur having developed from the profits of the tobacco industry and former slave trade.
