Churchdown

Churchdown is an attractive and well-placed village in Gloucestershire, England, located between Gloucester and Cheltenham. It is a relatively large village, having developed around two separate centres, in a semi-rural setting, though its close proximity to the city of Gloucester prevents it from being in anyway remote and it is often regarded as a suburb of the famous city. Churchdown Hill, also known as Chosen Hill stands over the town at 154m above sea level, offering splendid views of the Vale of Severn, the Cotswolds, the two cities, the Malverns and Wales. Mussell Well and the "Roman" Steps are both sites of historical interest located on the hill.

Attractions in the area include Gloucester Cathedral, the National Waterways Museum, Prinknash Abbey Bird and Deer Park, the International Centre for Birds of Prey, and Eastnor Castle.
