Cheltenham

Cheltenham is a spa town in the county of Gloucestershire that is also known as Cheltenham Spa. At the edge of the idyllic Cotswolds, Cheltenham has a long history with racing and is a prosperous area offering plenty for the visitor to enjoy. As the home of the famous British steeplechase horse racing event, the Gold Cup, vast numbers arrive every March for the Cheltenham Festival. This Regency town has attractive architecture, with pretty Regency town houses recognisable by their intricate ironwork balconies and painted stucco facades.

Visitors can enjoy the award-winning gardens of Cheltenham as well as a wide range of stylish shops and a variety of international restaurants offering something for all tastes. As well as the famous annual festival of horse racing, music and literature too are celebrated with their own festivals.
