Carsphairn

Carsphairn is a picturesque village in the Galloway Hills of the southern Scotland council area of Dumfries and Galloway, located about half way between Dalmellington and St. John's Town of Dalry. This is a more remote and untamed part of the county, amidst the Carsphairn and Scaur Hills, and the Rhinns of Kells, with Loch Doon and Loch Ken, each just a few miles in either direction of the village.

Carsphairn is known for its stunning views and for its cheerful and welcoming community. This is a popular tourist spot, and so provides a good choice of holiday accommodation; with facilities that include a range of local shops and several reputable pub-restaurants that are popular with both locals and visitors alike, particularly after a good walk among the attractions and beauty spots of this fantastic destination, including the ancient stone circle and nuclear listening post.
