Callander

Callander is a burgh in the Scottish council area of Stirling, on the River Teith, which is in the former County of Perthshire. It is a popular tourist destination, particularly as a rest point for those travelling to and from the Highlands as it serves as the eastern gateway to Loch Lomond, with the Trossachs National Park close by. It is often promoted as the "Gateway to the Highlands", featuring the Rob Roy Centre, which provides tourist information for the area.

The Callander Crags of the Highland Boundary Fault overlook the town, and local walks include the Bracklinn Falls, The Meadows, the Callander Crags and the Wood Walks, with routes to suit differing fitness levels and parties. The town is also situated on the Trossachs Bird of Prey Trail.
