Cairnryan is a small and pleasant village in the council area of Dumfries and Galloway, overlooking Loch Ryan. It has a large modern ferry port operated by P&O Ferries, which links Scotland with Larne, in Northern Ireland, which makes it a popular base from which tourists can explore this historic and beautiful corner of Scotland.
