Burgess Hill is town in West Sussex, England, on the edge of the South Downs National Park. The town is characterised by detached houses and the workmen's cottages that were built during the town's heyday as a health resort, in the Victorian era, and commands an impressive location, with ease of access to the popular destinations of London, Brighton, Hove, Chichester. Burgess Hill and has also recently gained status as a Fairtrade Town.
Some notable landmarks of the town include the Elizabethan Hammonds Place, dating from about 1500, Grove Farm House, on Station Road, which can be dated to about 1600, and Chapel Farm House and the Walnut Tree Cottages, which are Tudor houses built on medieval sites.
