Bude

The small seaside resort of Bude in the scenic county of Cornwall is found at the mouth of the River Neet and is thought to have once been the place where early Christians landed. Before it became a popular resort town, Bude found its prosperity with the harbour where the sea sand was used to improve the soil of the moors.  It was the Victorians who discovered the joy of a holiday here and that tradition continues to this day.

As a seaside resort, Bude offers visitors a wonderful choice of things to enjoy, ample amenities and shops, pubs and eateries as well as some of the most stunning scenery in the region. With Widemouth Bay to the south and Northcott Mouth to the north there are picturesque walks and for those who just want sand and sea, Bude itself has two excellent beaches; Summerleaze and Crooklets. There are facilities for sailing, golfing, surfing, sea fishing and boat charter here as well as visitor attractions and sites of interest in the area.
