Broxbourne is a commuter town for London, located in the English county of Hertfordshire. The town developed alongside the Great North Road, the historic route from London to the north. For this reason the town gained a a good number of inns, of which examples still remain that span from the 16th to the 19th centuries. The high street provides good shopping prospects and a selection of quality cafés, restaurants and pubs.
Attractions in the area include Lowewood Museum, Paradise Wildlife Park, Celtic Harmony Camp, Queen Elizabeth's Hunting Lodge, and Hatfield House, while to the west of the town is the Broxbourne Woods, National Nature Reserve.
