Brough, also known as Brough-on-Humber, is a small town in the East Riding of Yorkshire, England. It is situated on the north bank of the River Humber, near Hull. There is a good choice of holiday accommodation in the area due to the high number of popular Blue Flag beaches on the Holderness coast, including a good number of caravan parks, hotels and quality bed & breakfasts, making Barmston a very enjoyable place from which to explore.
The East Riding offers a large number of things to see and do, include the historic buildings of Burnby Hall, Burton Agnes Manor House, Burton Agnes Hall, Sewerby Hall, and Skipsea Castle as well as the gun battery of Fort Paull. Spurn Point, Bempton Cliffs, and the various rivers of the area are mainly under the care of the National Trust and include many areas of natural beauty and significance, that can be explored by way of the various canals and waterways, as well as the countless walking routes, including the Yorkshire Wolds Way long distance footpath, which winds its way through the Yorkshire Wolds to Filey.
