Brora

Brora is an attractive and rural village in the east of the county of Sutherland, in the Scottish Highlands. It is a small and well-linked village, with a very varied heritage. It shares its name with the Jurassic rock formation on which it is located, which is quarried for construction purposes, and has been used on various notable landmarks over the centuries, including London Bridge, Liverpool Cathedral and Dunrobin Castle. This is a traditional and welcoming village with lots of amenities, good shopping prospects, popular beaches, and an 18 hole golf course.

Attractions in the area include Dunrobin Castle, Laidhay Croft Museum, Hugh Miller Museum and Birthplace Cottage, Brodie Castle, and the Falconer Museum.
