Brinscall

Brinscall is a village close to Chorley in Lancashire, England. Although ideally situated for the holiday-maker to enjoy the benefit of the wider Lancashire area, the village is very small in itself with just a swimming pool, several traditional pubs, a tea room, Croft Lodge, which is a popular local fishing pond, and an athletic club with tennis courts, bowling green, cricket and football pitches. A popular nature trail passes through Brinscall and many of the bordering villages. The village also features a large wood named by villagers as 'Brinny Woods'.

Brinscall is located on the edge of Anglezarke moor — and important geological site popular with school visits to demonstrate the processes at work on the landscape. The village lends its name to a particularly significant feature called the 'Brinscall Fault'.
