Brigg is a small and traditional market town on the River Ancholme in North Lincolnshire, England. Due to its location near to the important Roman Road, Ermine Street, the town prospered as a coaching stage and trading centre throughout the centuries. The town offers now an excellent vantage point from which to enjoy the sites and attractions of Lincolnshire, with good shopping prospects, various entertainment venues and a good choice of quality holiday accommodation. Popular attractions in the area include the National Fishing Heritage Centre in Grimsby, the Sealife Centre and Pleasure Island Theme Park at Cleethorpes, Waltham Windmill, Lincoln Castle, Lincoln Cathedral, Thornton Abbey, and Natureland Seal Sanctuary, to name only a handful.
