Boston is a town and small port in the county of Lincolnshire, on the east coast of England. The town has several notable landmarks, including St Botolph's Church (The Stump), which is the largest parish church in England and features one of the highest towers in England. Another significant landmark is the Pilgrim Memorial, which was built in 1957 to commemorate the Pilgrim Fathers' first unsuccessful attempt to emigrate in search of religious freedom in Holland before they finally founded a colony at what was to become Boston, Massachusetts in the USA.
The town offers an excellent vantage point from which to enjoy the sites and attractions of Lincolnshire, with good shopping prospects, various entertainment venues and a good choice of quality holiday accommodation. Popular attractions in the area include the National Fishing Heritage Centre in Grimsby, the Sealife Centre and Pleasure Island Theme Park at Cleethorpes, Waltham Windmill, Lincoln Castle, Lincoln Cathedral, Thornton Abbey, and Natureland Seal Sanctuary, to name only a handful.
