Blairgowrie and Rattray is a twin burgh in the Scottish council area of Perth and Kinross, known locally simply as "Blair". Blairgowrie is the larger of the two settlements, which are former burghs situated on either side of the River Ericht and bridged by the Brig o' Blair.
They lie on north side of the valley of Strathmore, at the foot of the Grampian Mountains, which are one of the three major mountain ranges of Scotland. The pair developed over the centuries as they are at the crossroads of several important historic routes that link Perth, Coupar Angus, Alyth and Braemar. The settlement's main feature is the Wellmeadow, which is a grassy triangle in the middle of town that hosts the regular markets and summertime outdoor entertainment.
