Bembridge

Bembridge is a village on the easternmost coast of the Isle of Wight. Its most prominent landmark is Bembridge Windmill, which is the only remaining windmill on the Isle of Wight, dating from around 1700. It is now owned by the National Trust and open to the public from April to October. This is a pretty village that is characterised by a majority of modern bungalows and a small shopping area with a lane leading to the beach, where Bembridge Lifeboat station and the Bembridge Coast Hotel are situated.

Popular attractions on the island include Carisbrooke Castle in Newport, the famous views at The Needles and Alum Bay, the 108 km Isle of Wight Coastal Path, the Blackgang Chine theme park, the Isle of Wight Zoo, and Yarmouth Castle, to name only a few. The Isle of Wight is also a haven for wildlife and sites of geological and natural importance. It is one of the few places in England where the red squirrel is flourishing.
