Beattock

Beattock is a picturesque village on the River Annan, in the southern Scotland council area of Dumfries and Galloway. This is a more remote and untamed part of the county, which neighbours the former spa town of Moffat, known for its toffee, and still within close to the historic town of Dumfries, and to dramatic beauty spots such the Galloway Forest Park, and the Solway Firth.

The village is known for its stunning views and for its cheerful and welcoming community. This is a popular tourist spot, and so provides a good choice of holiday accommodation; with facilities that include a range of local shops and several reputable pub-restaurants that are popular with both locals and visitors alike, particularly after a good walk among the attractions and beauty spots of this fantastic destination.
