Bayford

Bayford is a small English village in East Hertfordshire, neighbouring the country town of Hertford. It is renowned for its attractiveness, having won the 'best kept village' award numerous times over the years. The Baker Arms, is a busy focal point of the village, which has a reputation in the area for serving good traditional home cooked food and a selection of real ales on tap.

The Clinton-Baker Pinetum is one of the more notable sites of the local area. It was established in 1767 by Sir William Baker and now contains more than 130 species of conifer trees from all around the world. It covers more than 4.3 hectares of the Lee Valley, with numerous popular walking routes of varying lengths, including one that features a recently discovered Victorian grotto.
