Barley

Barley a village in Lancashire, England. It is situated near to Pendle Hill, and is a very popular starting point for walkers and ramblers clubs to the Pendle Way trail, which is a long circular route around the area ending back at Barley. There is a children's playground by the stream and large traditional public house built in the 1920s by the name of The Pendle Inn, in addition to the restaurant, The Barley Mow.

Barley is also close to Pendle Forest and is the site of the Pendle Witch Trials of 1612 in which ten people were found guilty and executed by hanging.
