Auchterarder

Auchterarder is a small town in the Scottish council area of Perth and Kinross. It occupied an enviable location in the north of the scenic Ochil Hills, and near Stirling Castle. The town is affectionately known as "Lang Toon" or Long Town because of its 1.5 mile long High Street. Another popular nickname for the town is "Chooch", which is often used by younger locals and natives of the town of Perth. Auchterarder is home to the luxury Gleneagles Hotel and has good amenities to make visitors and hill walkers feel welcome, rested and pampered, including two most expensive streets in Scotland.
