Auchenmalg

Auchenmalg is a small village with an enviable location overlooking the beautiful Luce Bay in Wigtownshire, Scotland. This is a traditional settlement, centring around a a village hall, and a traditional Scottish public house and restaurant called the Cock Inn, which is the second-oldest pub in Scotland. The village is quite quiet and sleepy, yet very welcoming to visitors, with several accommodation options, including a number of self-catering cottages and a caravan park.

The area is known for its sheltered sandy beaches, country scenery, and good walking, with longer routes from the Isle of Whithorn to Auchenmalg, along with the more sedate lanes that take in the local sites of interest.
