Amersham is a market town within the Chiltern district of Buckinghamshire, in England, in the Chiltern Hills. It is within the London commuter belt, which makes it both a commuter town and a popular tourist base, which benefits from fantastic amenities, holiday accommodation, entertainment, and shopping, while being just far enough from the capital to provide those nice scenic areas of open space. The Chiltern Hills in particular have been designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
Old Amersham is the historic portion of the town in the valley of the River Misbourne, featureing 13th century parish church of St. Mary's and several old public houses and coaching inns, along with Amersham Museum.
