Alva is a small town in the Scottish council area of Clackmannanshire, and is one of a cluster of towns located in the south of the magnificent Ochil Hills, that are collectively known as the Hillfoots Villages or just the The Hillfoots. Alva's position directly at the foot of the Ochil Hills makes it a particularly popular place for tourists to visit, with a good range of amenities, a varied choice of holiday accommodation, and countless scenic walks and outdoor pursuits to enjoy. The breathtaking Alva Glen cuts into the Ochils to north of the town, through which the Alva Burn flows towards the River Devon.
