Alexandria is a town in the Scottish council area of West Dunbartonshire. It is situated in a scenic location on the River Leven, four miles to the north-west of Dumbarton, and is the largest town in the Vale of Leven, with neighbours that include Balloch, Renton, Jamestown and Bonhill. The town is on the former A82 main road from Glasgow and Loch Lomond, which provides good transport links that includes a regular bus services, as well as a train station on the Balloch and Glasgow Queen Street line.
Popular attractions in the area include the Denny Ship Model Experiment Tank, Finlaystone Country Estate, Geilston Garden, Hill House, Weaver's Cottage, Clydebuilt Scottish Maritime Museum, and Fossil Grove, to name just a handful.
