Alderton

Alderton is a village in Gloucestershire, near Tewkesbury and Evesham. It enjoys a very prettily location where the Cotswolds meet the Vale of Evesham, with architecture characterised by both Cotswold stone and red brick influences, and the addition of a number of wattle and daub half-timbered and thatched examples.

There is a popular public footpath network in the local area known as "The Dungeons" that connects the village, the wooded Oak Hill, and the nearby village of Dumbleton. They're named that way because of the deep passage through the hillside.

Attractions in the area include the Gloucestershire Warwickshire Railway, Hailes Abbey, Sudeley Castle Gardens & Exhibitions, Stanway Water Garden, the Cotswold Falconry Centre, and the Cotswold Motoring Museum & Toy Collection, to name only a handful.
