Achnasheen

Achnasheen is a pleasant and attractive small village in scenic Ross-shire, which is in the Highland council area of Scotland. Although it is only a small village, Achnasheen is also the name of the area's postal district, which includes a number of larger communities, as the village railway station was once a primary stop on the Kyle of Lochalsh Line, carrying freight, mail and most passengers, most of which now travel by road, although the station still operates.

The village has limited but sufficient facilites, with a part time post office, a hotel, and several self-catered holiday cottages, and is popular for its close proximity to the beautiful Torridon Hills and Loch A Chroisg.
